Week 1:

We established the groups we were going to be working in and began exploring the different areas which we could use and take inspiration from to make our final product. By the end of the week, we had decided that we would be creating a music quiz, and had began researching examples to take as inspiration for our final product. We also created a list of songs from the Billboard Top 100 which we wanted to use in our quiz.

Week 2:

This week we made our prototypes, we began by creating paper prototypes (a there is a seperate blog post created on prototypes). We then presented our prototypes to the class and got feedback on how to improve on our idea.

Week 3:

During this week we created a second prototype, this time online on Kahoot. We chose to only use 5 pop songs that weren’t all in the Billboard Hot 100. We chose use samples from 7 Rings (Ariana Grande), 2002 (Anne-Marie), IDGAF (Dua Lipa), Woman Like Me (Little Mix ft. Nicki Minaj), and Talk (Khalid). We decided to make the questions multiple choice and give a time limit for answering the questions to make it a bit more challenging.

Week 4:

In week 4, we began to explore how to create quizzes on H5P. We chose to use H5P for our final quiz because the finished products created on H5P look more professional and are accessible to everyone once posted online, whereas Kahoot quizzes require a pin to be able to gain access. We were also informed that it was fairly straight forward to put a quiz together on H5P and that you can give the quiz it’s own weblink.

Week 5:

We made finishing touches to the H5P quiz such as praises to the correct answers and created our evaluations of our final product. We have also made sure that everything we needed to upload to WordPress is uploaded.
