What went well?

My lyric video was put together well. It is all synced up to the backing track, and in time. The layout looks effective and fits with the 1950s/60s theme that I had used as influence from the Woman Like Me official lyric video.

What could I improve?

I could’ve made my video longer as it is only 42 seconds long. I could’ve also used better images on some lines as they don’t necessarily fit in with the rest of the video.

What could you do next time?

Use better images for some lines, and Make the video longer.

Describe my project…

My project is a lyric video to the Pre-chorus and Chorus to Wasabi by Little Mix, which I created in the style of the official lyric video to Little Mix’s current single Woman Like Me ft. Nicki Minaj.

What have I learnt and gained over the past 6 weeks?

Over the past few weeks, I have learned how to use more of photoshop. I have also learned how to construct a video on InShot and crop other images with Bazaart. I have also learnt about some more technical terms in media, such as Semiotics and Visual Language.

Did anything go wrong?

During editing some of my images, I had issues with Photoshop as the software had expired on the iMac that I was using. Other than that, nothing else seemed to go wrong. Although I have struggled with my written work which has held me up a bit.

Overall…

Overall, I’m happy with how my project has turned out. Despite the difficulties with the written work, I am working through them and will complete them. My video is similar to the original Woman Like Me lyric video, and I am very proud of it! I have asked people what their opinions on my video are and they’ve all came back positive!
